Here is the complete The Keg gluten-free menu.
The Keg Steakhouse does a great job providing a separate gluten-free menu for both lunch and dinner. They have a lot of options for those looking for a fancier gluten-free dining experience and having specific gluten-free menus helps make it easy to see all the items available, and they note any modifications needed when necessary.
They do say that this is only for select locations, so we recommend checking with your local restaurant to see if they have gluten-free menus available. They also say to let your server know if you have a gluten allergy and that while they use gluten-free ingredients, some cross-contamination can occur during preparation.

The Keg History
The Keg is a Canadian steakhouse restaurant chain consisting of both restaurants and bars. They have locations in the United States and Canada. The company was founded in 1971 by George Tidball who opened the first location in Northern Vancouver, British Columbia. Back then it was known as “The Keg and Cleaver”, consisting of a small downstairs location in a backstreet building in lower Lonsdale. Today, The Keg is found in all Canadian provinces excluding Prince Edward Island, as well as five states in America.
The restaurant is famous for buying old buildings and manors and then converting them in to restaurants. Some good examples include the Keg Mansion of Toronto and Keg Manor of Maplelawn Estate, Ottawa. Other notable restorations are the locations in New Westminster, BC which was formerly a CPR Station, and the one in Kamloops, BC which was previously a CN Station.
Additionally, the company runs a charity organization known as The Keg Spirit Foundation which specializes in the empowerment of youth. Its particular goal is to recognize upcoming establishments that represent the mentor program which The Keg Steakhouse & Bar has offered to so many young people. This Foundation was created in 2001 as a commemoration of The Keg Restaurant’s 30th anniversary as well as its history of charitable donations. It was a way of consolidating existing charity activities, while also focusing on new methods of giving back to the local communities. To date, this company has raised close to $7 million for more than 300 charity centers across North America.
Customers also have the opportunity to bring the restaurant’s legendary flavors to their home kitchens through buying the unique Keg products that are available for sale. They range from seasonings to marinades and also burgers, salad dressings and bacon wrapped scallops. These are the ingredients needed to make a perfect Keg meal right at home. Moreover, a portion of sales generated from these products is given to charity via The Keg Spirit Foundation.

Summary
The Keg provides separate gluten-free menus entirely for both lunch and dinner which is a nice change of pace. They have a lot of options for entrees, starters, and a few dessert items which make it a great place to go if you’re looking for something a little fancier while staying gluten-free. It may still not work for those with a gluten allergy, as they say that some cross contamination during preparation is possible, but they make a great effort providing information and making sure those who are avoiding gluten have an easy time finding something to eat at their restaurant.
