Mimi’s Cafe Gluten-Free Menu 2024

Here is the complete Mimi’s Cafe gluten-free menu.

Mimi’s Cafe has a decent variety of gluten-free dishes, especially if you’re looking to eat lunch or dinner. They don’t exactly provide a lot of information about their gluten-free menu or policies on their website, but they should be accommodating of dietary needs and do have some gluten-free options available.

We recommend letting your server know before you order any food allergies or dietary restrictions you might have. There aren’t many breakfast options unless you’re looking for an omelet, but it could be a good place to try for lunch or dinner.

Mimi’s Cafe History

Mimi’s Café is a French inspired restaurant chain based in the United States. Though originally headquartered in Irvine, California, they have since moved base to Dallas, Texas which happened in 2014. The latest statistics show that Mimi’s has approximately 145 locations spread across 24 states in the country. They serve both French and American food, though the décor is trends more towards French themes and cuisines.

The restaurant was founded in December 1978 by Arthur J. Simms. Together with his son Thomas Simms and two other companions, they opened their first location in Anaheim, California. Arthur was an American airman based in France during World War II. He named his restaurant after a French women he had met earlier at a party that was hosted following the liberation of the country. Later on, Bob Evans Farms Inc. bought the restaurant chain in July 2004 under SWH Corporation for about $182 million. Mimi’s Cafe was then sold to the U.S. based company Groupe Le Duff in February 2013.

Recently, Mimi’s has been going back to its roots to the French revolution in a bid to solidify its brand image and recapture new markets. They launched a three restaurant test reboot entitled Mimi’s French Revolution which has since expanded rapidly following its inception. Their culinary courses range from appetizers to desserts and much more. For any chain restaurant to be successful, it’s important that they create a cohesive philosophy that firmly identifies the brand and also gives it a strong presence with customers.

Mimi’s Café’s new locations feature a store-within-a-store business model which is the first of its kind in the dynamic casual dining industry. Their concept is to offer fresh products that are served with the company’s logo right inside the stores. However, Mimi’s has uniquely created this model to cater to its dynamic casual dining establishments. The cafe offers a unique blend of gourmet coffee that’s prepared from freshly roasted and crushed coffee beans, along with a variety of French bakery treats such as chocolate, butter croissants, tarts, French macaroons and breads as well.

Summary

Mimi’s Cafe has an ok variety of gluten-free dishes if you’re looking for a place to eat lunch or dinner, but there isn’t much else beyond that. They do seem to have some good options, but we wish they provided more information publicly on their website. It could be a good place to try, but we definitely recommend checking with your local restaurant and letting your server know if you have specific dietary needs.

  1. Thank you so much for this!!!! Their website was not helpful at all to find this information. I appreciate you taking the time to do this for restaurants since many do not accommodate gluten-free guests very well. Meeting with friends for lunch can prove to be difficult when it seems I am being picky or choosy, and it’s nice to know ahead of time what to order so that it isn’t an inconvenience.

  2. Unfortunately the Mimi’s where I live does not even have 5 of the items mentioned on the lunch/dinner menu that are gluten free. So that basically leaves me a choice of some type of salad.
