On The Border Gluten-Free Menu 2024

Here is the complete On The Border gluten-free menu.

On The Border has a great variety of gluten-free Tex-Mex options to try. Like most other Mexican restaurants, they do use common fry oil for their chips and tortillas. They also note that cross-contamination is possible for all of their food items do to the preparation environment.

They suggest requesting to speak with a manager if you have any food allergies or special dietary needs. We do like that they provide a lot of good information about their gluten-free policies and menu on their website.

If you’re looking for gluten-free Tex-Mex, this could be a great place to try out.

On The Border History

On The Border is a casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in Tex-Mex style food specialties. They have restaurants in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and recently opened new locations in Egypt, UAE, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. This chain and brand name is currently owned by the OTB Acquisition LLC Group.

The first restaurant was opened in October 1982 at the junction between Knox and Travis in Dallas, Texas. Within a few years time, the restaurant had grown to become the best dining spot for margaritas, fresh border-style dishes and some good Dallas ambiance. This chain has around 155 restaurants found in 36 states across the country, including other destinations such as Puerto Rico. It’s owned by the Argonne Capital Group.

A few years after inception, the business boomed and opened doors to franchisees around the world for the first time. Today, customers can get their hands on tasty fresh-pressed tortillas, large chips, margaritas, table-side guacamole and other classic food items. There are also mesquite-grilled meats and sauces that are served in small batches.

In June 1997, On The Border was introduced to northern California by the Pacific Meritage Group. The first location in this region was opened in Milpitas. A year later, they launched another restaurant in Elk Grove, followed by a store in Natomas in 1999, Dublin in 2000 and Roseville in 2001. When planning this venture, Pacific Meritage was interested in bringing the restaurant’s fun energy and unique Tex-Mex flavors to the world.

On The Border is also engaged in various charitable activities, giving back to local communities through fundraising and sponsorships that target local communities. After 30 years in business, the company still serves the best made-from-scratch sauces and meats. They are cooked fresh and ready to order. The restaurant is known for its wide selection of fajitas and margaritas that are served daily, including Guacamole Live which is a dish of fresh guacamole prepared table-side.

Summary

On The Border has similar gluten-free options to a lot of the other Tex-Mex fast food places we’ve tried, but this place is more of a restaurant with a wider variety of food and a larger menu. The majority of the menu is naturally gluten-free which is great, but be aware that cross contamination can occur and common fry oil is used for chips and tortillas. Check with the manager to be safe if you have certain dietary restrictions, but this is a great place for a lot of gluten-free Mexican food options!
