Pizza Hut Gluten-Free Menu 2021
Pizza Hut has made an effort recently to offer a gluten-free pizza option in over 2,800 of their locations. They now offer cheese and pepperoni pizzas on Udi’s® certified gluten-free crust. These specific pizzas are made special and certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG).
They also offer the option to create your own pizza using their gluten-free crust. While it may not be quite as safe and is not GIG certified, it’s an easy way to experiment and add some toppings for those that want to avoid gluten but may not be allergic.

Pizza Hut History
Pizza Hut is a pizza parlor chain that was established in 1958 by brothers Frank and Dan Carney. They founded it in their native town of Wichita, Kansas. When one of their friends decided to open a new pizza joint, the Carneys were impressed by the idea and decided to borrow $600 from their mom as an investment. They bought some used cooking equipment and leased out a small space on a busy street in Wichita.
History has it that on the day of launch, they gave away free pizzas to promote community interest. They also settled on the name Pizza Hut since the first signpost they bought only had enough room for 9 characters.
Within 10 years of starting the company, Dan and Frank had grown their simple restaurant to include more than 300 locations spread across the country. Their iconic red roof became a symbol that customers quickly came to identify with. Pizza Hut went global in 1970 and after only one year they had grown to become the largest pizza chain in the world. Soon afterwards, they reached the 1 million dollar mark in sales within the United States, and were also listed on the New York Stock Exchange marking their first ever common stock offer.
The company admits that making fine pizzas is all they stand for and it’s why customers are attracted to them and also what sets them apart from the competition. This high passion for quality has led them to create one of the most versatile range of pizzas available today. Each pizza has its own unique magic and there’s nothing boring about it.

Pizza Hut has done a good job pushing to provide a gluten-free crust alternative for their pizza. There may not be as many options as there are for their regular pizzas and there is only a small size, but being able to have a gluten-free pizza certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group is great. It’s also nice that they let you create your own pizza with their Udi’s® certified gluten-free crust if you aren’t as worried about some cross contamination.
