Here is the complete Starbucks gluten-free menu.
Starbucks doesn’t usually come to mind when thinking about gluten-free places to go, but they actually are a pretty safe place to go for a drink. It’s a great place to go for a gluten-free beverage. They do have soy milk, almond milkd and coconut milk at most locations.
My stomach is very sensitive and I still have to be very careful, even with gluten-free items. My personal favorite drink at Starbucks is a “Venti Almond Milk Latte.” 😋

In case you were wondering, here are the ingredients in their almond milk. Filtered Water, Almonds, Sugar, Tricalcium Phosphate, Sunflower Lecithin, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol). It unfortunately still has xanthan gum and guar gum, but it’s hard not to find that in restaurant/fast food almond milk.
Starbucks Coconut Milk Ingredients
Water, Coconut Cream, Cane Sugar, Contains 2 Or Less Of Tricalcium Phosphate, Coconut Water Concentrate, Sea Salt, Natural Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Gellan Gum, Corn Dextrin, Guar Gum, Vitamin A Palmitate, and Vitamin D2.
Starbucks History
Starbucks is a famous coffee restaurant chain that has its roots in Seattle, Washington. The company is the brainchild of Jerry B. Gordon Bowker and Siegl Zev. Their goal was to create a coffee company based on a special technique of roasting coffee beans. The business adopted the name Starbucks as a reference to one of the personalities found in the famous novel Moby Dick. Their original logo was not a green mermaid as it is now but rather a brown one, and their mission was to sell freshly baked coffee beans.
All the founders were friends from San Francisco University and they drew the theme for their new coffee company from nautical mythology. At first, they wanted to settle on the name Pequod but instead chose Starbucks as a better alternative. By the 1980s, Starbucks had already introduced espresso machines to serve the American public after witnessing their popularity in Italian markets.
During the 1990s, Starbucks started introducing new changes to its operations such as opening the first drive-thru location and later on expanding menu choices to beverages that were not there previously. They soon grew in scope to include more than 1,000 locations across the country. It was also during this period that the company’s website, Starbucks.com, was formed. In 1999, Starbucks bought a small tea company called Tazo which has since grown to become a very successful tea manufacturer.
After making its first IPO on the stock market during the 1990s, Starbucks embarked on a massive expansion plan opening an average of 2 new locations every day until 2007. Currently, Starbucks is one of the most successful coffee companies in the world with more than 24,000 locations spread across 70 countries and still growing at a high rate. There’s a common saying that almost every street in the United States today has a Starbucks on it. The coffee company has become a place where everyone comes to meet, not just for the fine coffee, but to socialize as well.

Summary
I think the majority of people, including myself are going to be more interested in the drinks at Starbucks, rather than the food items, and they have a lot of gluten-free drinks! We wish they provided more information about their entire menu, as it was hard to find current allergen information all in one place online, but that being said, Starbucks is a great place to go if your looking for something gluten-free to drink.

Yes Yes tried the gf sandwich. Enjoyed and no after effects !!! Yes Yes will order again !!!!
I read from a couple other articles online on this topic, but caramel anything at Starbucks was listed as non GF. Do you have a confirmed answer to this concern I have? Thank you!
Hey Sandra,
Yes, we’ve seen reports of this too. We’ve added a warning about the caramel syrup and also removed the caramel Frappuccinos from our list. I personally stay away from the syrups altogether.
You have to be careful with the frappuccinos. They don’t wash the blenders out with soap after every use, only water. There is a major risk of cross-contamination of they prepared a drink with an ingredient that is not gluten-free.
Thanks Lisa! Yes, that is definitely something to watch out for.
No more GF sandwich :(
Hey Crissy,
Yes, I was really disappointed that Starbucks got rid of the gluten-free sandwich. I loved it.
Totally missed the Egg Bites which are gluten-free!
Same! Seems like Starbucks tries new gluten-free items and then removes them. Which sucks.
I would like to see a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie.
Hey Charles!
Yes, I would love to see a gluten-free cookie option at Starbucks.
The Caramel syrup is not gluten free.
Hey Mari,
Yes, we’ve seen reports of this too. We’ve added a warning about the caramel syrup and also removed the Caramel Frappuccinos from our list.
