I personally reached out to them, as sometimes allergen menus are out of date, and they confirmed they don’t have anything. If you’re looking for a waffle, you’ll have to try somewhere else. IHOP has gluten-free options now.

I have a severe gluten allergy also diagnosed with celiac when I was born. I love Waffle House! The following is what I eat that is gluten free and safe to eat:
– bacon, egg, and cheese hash brown bowl
– triple hash brown, cheese and bacon or ham

Sorry to hear that you’ve had to deal with celiac disease since birth, that can’t have been easy. Thanks for sharing the choices at Waffle House. I’ve updated the menu above with a few sides. It’s better than nothing.
Waffle house does have gluten free options. I have celiac and I eat there. It’s not listed as gluten free on their menus but if you look at thier nutrition facts there are multiple items. The waffles , breads/buns, gravy and chili all contain gluten. If you tell them you have an allergy they will accommodate you and use fresh ingredients that are not crosscontaminated if you are concerned but o have not had any issues. I also have the skin disorder with celiac. If I can eat there most people with my condition should also be able to.
This is RIDICULOUS. If you want to eat gluten free at Waffle House, it’s easy!! Order the fabulous hashbrowns with bacon or sausage. Have some grits! If you’re there for lunch, they have salads. If you’re there for dinner, they have pork chops, steaks, and almost the whole menu. You can get eggs and grits with bacon, all with no gluten. And don’t forget the FABULOUS coffee. FIVE STARS.
People with celiac or gluten allergies can’t have any cross contamination at all or they will get sick. So that’s what they mean by ‘not having gluten free options’. It is only considered gluten free is if it has a dedicated area that never touches gluten containing products.
thank you for the info, good to know if you’re there with other people and have to order something if you’re hungry. I think a lot of people who are gluten free are hoping for something fun like a waffle cuz it’s waffle house, but at least there’s something other than water and condiments lol
